Radiology

Radiographs - more commonly referred to as x-rays - show images of the body’s internal structures. These images are created using radiation. The amount of radiation a pet is exposed to during an exam is very low, though. In fact, the level of exposure is so low that radiology is perfectly safe even for very young pets and pregnant females.

Radiographs are often used to examine bones and ligaments to diagnose injuries. They are also widely used to assess the shape, size, and position of many organs, including the lungs, heart, and abdominal muscles. Our team also relies on radiology when diagnosing osteoarthritis, bladder stones, and a wide range of other conditions.
